Our Story

Floréal Villanova and Théo Germain, two experienced professionals in the renewable energy sector with over 20 years of combined experience, met in 2018.
For years, they faced challenges such as off-grid sizing difficulties, tedious daily tasks, a rapidly evolving market, and difficulty finding qualified personnel.

In 2020, they decided to develop their first off-grid solar sizing tool, leading to the creation of Otonomi Solutions with this innovative tool. Since then, the company has continued to grow through its latest product, Otonomi DX, a white-label platform for selling solar kits.

The founders, with their perfectly complementary skills, innovate and build strong partnerships with key industry players to share their expertise with solar professionals on a daily basis.

CEO & Founder

Floréal Villanova

Floréal is a pioneer in the solar industry, having started his career in 2009 in Europe as a technical sales representative. He holds a degree in negotiation and customer relations. He moved to the United States in 2017 before settling in Montreal in 2018, where he continued to specialize in off-grid solar solutions. His deep understanding of both European and North American markets enables him to anticipate market trends and leverage his extensive network. His excellent interpersonal skills keep him closely connected to his market and stakeholders.

CTO & Founder

Théo Germain

With a background in electrical engineering and industrial computing, Théo discovered the industry during travels in Australia and New Zealand. He decided to further develop his technical skills within a Montreal-based equipment distributor, where he was responsible for engineering and sizing projects, commissioning, and implementing integrated solutions for Hydro-Québec. He also developed and supervised international projects there.
